Digital tools that support blended learning
The team uses a variety of software programs to plan instruction, asses and track progress, and personalize instruction.
ReNEW DTA primarily uses three tools:
- Google Apps for Education– The teacher uses Sites and Docs to create and share playlists and also tracks mastery data in Sheets.
-
IXL 8th Grade Math Skills – Students use IXL quizzes to assess mastery of objectives.
- Playposit Interactive Video Learning – A tool that students use to record and share video demonstrations of mastery.
Teachers also create playlists of content from a variety of digital sources. The school network’s Director of Personalized Learning helps teacher curation by creating a site that highlights key elements of each program. See the overview of ReNEW’s Math Programs.
