Blended Learning Rubric and Definition
Thrive Public Schools defined blended learning and designed a rubric to guide educators on not only what blended learning looks like in practice but also how to assess their mastery of key components needed for successful implementation.
Thrive Public Schools, a free, public K-12 charter network in San Diego, has implemented blended learning in a focused, strategic, and meaningful way by clearly defining both their approach and the specific components needed to effectively implement their model successfully. By defining what blended learning means to their network and how it is applied within each classroom, all educators, leaders, and students can understand what is and is not blended learning in action. The rubric also allows educators and leaders to reflect and assess on classroom practices by focusing on specific strands and examples of mastery.
