FullScale and All4Ed are thrilled to announce the 14 school and district teams selected to join the Rural AI Strategy Lab — a collaborative experience where educators in rural communities will explore, pilot, and implement AI in ways that reflect their local priorities and realities. Together, we’ll learn more about what works, surface practical challenges, and develop tools and guidance that can support rural districts navigating AI thoughtfully.
When applications launched earlier this year, we were inspired by the response: more than 100 school and district teams from 34 states applied, and we had the privilege of interviewing over 30 teams to better understand their goals, needs, and visions for AI-enabled work. The depth of commitment to students and communities was clear throughout the process.
After a thoughtful selection process, we are excited to introduce the 14 teams who will participate in this six-month, cohort-based experience — designing, piloting, and learning in real time.
- Berkshire Hills Regional School District, in Great Barrington, Massachusetts
- Cape Flattery School District, in Sekiu, Washington
- Chinle Unified School District #24, in Chinle, Arizona
- Davenport School District, in Davenport, Washington
- Elko County School District, in Elko, Nevada
- Griswold Public Schools, in Griswold, Connecticut
- Ionia County Career Center, in Ionia, Michigan
- Louisa County Public Schools, in Mineral, Virginia

Each of these teams bring a unique context, set of leadership strengths, and varied starting points with AI. Over the coming months, they’ll prototype locally meaningful approaches, share lessons with one another, and help shape practical tools that can support other rural communities exploring AI. We can’t wait to share more about their work and what we’re learning alongside them.
